Give Fundraising a Swirl!

An informative, interesting and well attended fundraising seminar was held on Tuesday 29th September in the Solstice Arts Centre, Navan. Michael Ludlow, CEO, Meath Partnership welcomed guest speakers - Deirdre Garvey, The Wheel, Peter Cronin, Alaymont International and Ciaran Macken, Rehab. The aim of the seminar was to inform those involved in not for profit organisations and charity organisations who are continually faced with the challenge of fundraising. Ms. Garvey, ended her presentation with a quote which really summed up the main message of the day - "It is not the strongest or the most intelligent of the species that survives. It is the one that is most adaptable to change" (C.Darwin).
Meath Volunteer Centre, who organised the event as part of their Give it a Swirl activities, would especially like to thank volunteer Lisa Mack for helping out on the day, the speakers who attended and offered their time and expertise free of charge, and the Solstice Arts Centre for accommodating the event.
